Your go-to for coping with stress?
Bourne founders, Fran & Michelle, de-stressing at the gym
Last week marked National Stress Awareness Day - held every year on the first Wednesday of November, it highlights the importance of managing stress in our increasingly busy lives.
Even the best multitaskers on the planet struggle with the sheer number of inputs we face daily. It can feel overwhelming. Work, family, health, home, hobbies, social lives - we try to cram it all in, and somehow still feel like we’re falling short.
But we all have our own ways of coping. For some, it’s getting outside and reconnecting with nature - pottering in the garden or walking through the woods. For others, it’s the joy of crafting: knitting, crocheting, sewing, painting, or simply making something with your hands. There’s peace in that rhythm, in the focus it brings. Music can be a tonic too - whether you’re listening, playing, or singing your heart out with friends. Or maybe you keep your mind and body healthy with more physical exercise – whether that’s hitting the gym or the trails or taking time to feel zen with some meditation and yoga.
We’ve created something to celebrate those passions - the things that bring us joy, calm, and connection. Our clothing adds a bit of cheeky fun to the hobbies we love, and if it brings a smile to your face, then we’ve done our job. Because we’re all about shared interests, laughter, and the kind of community that lifts you up.
We’re approaching a time of year when stress levels can soar so we just want to say: take it easy on yourself. Carve out time for the things that make you feel most you. What’s your go-to?
With love,
Fran & Michelle 💕
